Details:
The D610 is ready for any road you may travel. This mainstream business notebook is built for serious mobile performance, incorporating Intels latest-generation Centrino platform. It's also fairly light (5.4 pounds) and has very good battery life (4 hours)?a winning combination for busy road warriors.
The D610 looks just like its predecessor, the D600, but now incorporates a sturdy metal frame. The 14.1-inch screen has good contrast and a wide 130-degree viewing angle. The other good news is that Dell has added two more USB ports to the D610 than the outgoing model had, for a total of four.
The D610 is using the latest Centrino technologies. The new Pentium M 760 (2.0 GHz), 512MB DDR2 memory, and ATI Radeon X300 helped it achieve a chart-topping 171 on SYSmark 2004 Internet Content Creation. Draining the battery took exactly 4 hours on our BatteryMark test. The unit's wireless 802.11g test results were some of the best we've seen. For optimal battery results, Dell suggests a Pentium M 730 and integrated graphics.
